I had the most amazing time of my life!

By Britta Aarhus - Denmark

I had the most amazing time of my life! I now have 9 new friends from around the world and couldn't be happier. The food in Tibet was delicious, our guide was friendly, and the scenery was stunning. This is not a beginner's trek, so be sure to train well in advance.

Visiting EBS was the perfect adventure!

By Sven Batters - New Zealand

Never ending peace and love. Visiting EBC was the perfect adventure and CHINA GROUP TOURS provided the perfect way to explore it. From sightseeing to trekking, there was never a dull moment. You'll leave feeling like family!

Sven and Alice Batters

This trip was lots of fun!

By Ming-kok YEP - Hong Kong

This trip was lots of fun! The trek to the EBC was great. Be prepared for some long uphill walks and many many tiny stone steps. The trip leader walks at a good pace so it is not too difficult. Always felt really accomplished making it to the lodge at the end of a long day! The trip was well paced and they packs lot of activities into a pretty short trip so be prepared to be on the move everyday.

Wonderful experience to EBC

By Johann Seiler - Switzerland

We had a wonderful experience in trekking to EBC with CHINA GROUP TOURS.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and motivated us to keep going which was not always easy on this highland! The accommodations arranged for us were very comfortable and the food was great. We will definitely recommend this travel agency to our friends and other travelers.

The most exciting travel in my life time!

By Annie Ténèbres - France

A few months after my trip to mount Everest, I realized that was probably the most exciting travel experience in my entire life!
The itinerary was just perfect and we appreciate the patience and kindness of our guide and driver! I really appreciate having Dzang as our guide. He is incredibly knowledgable about his homeland and his heart and soul shows in his conversations with us. He is one of the most genuine, smart and caring guides we have had in all our travels around the world.
The overnicht in Rongbuk monastery was quite simple but it was so peacefull and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. On the other day, we had good weather and the view of the mount Everest was so clear.
Lhasa became more and more like a big city, but other places like Shigatse and Gyantse still have the old and original charm which I will enjoy.

Mount Everest Base Camp. A must do!!!

By Klaus Niedermayer - Germany

I just want to tell how amazing our trip was. When we arrived at the Lhasa airport, we met our tibetan Guide Trandu. The weather was not got, but both of us were delighted by the smile of her. We met the other 6 people who were already waiting in the hotel.

We started our trip on the next day, the weather was even worse. Our agency China Group Tours did everything they could to help us and to make our trip the best it could be.

Our guide Trandu was knowledgable, fun and completely there for us.
If someone considering about a trip to Everest in November, be careful. It was really cold in the mountains and the weather was always bad too.
We started our trek from the Rongbuk monastery to the EBC, it is actually not that tough, but worry about the high alltitude we walked slowly. The view was gougerous! We will never forget about it!

The views are also not as good at this time of year - but still an amazing and spectacular trek to do!

We will definitly come to Tibet again, but it should be in September or October!

Thank you for the unforgettable time!

By Georgina Hannah - France

We’re very grateful you arranged our tour in Tibet, although it was only for 8 days. We liked the places we did go, especially Lhasa, it’s a wonderful place and I very love the scenery!
Our tour guide did a very good job, he is a wonderful person with humor and always very concerned about our safety and comfort.
Thank you for the unforgettable time!

We had great experience with CHINA GROUP TOURS!

By John Henkers - USA

We have had a great trip to the Everest base camp.

Our Guide and driver have been excellent and very attentive looking after us. Nodam is a very good guide and told us a lot about the tibetan culture. The driver is a nice guy too, we think he will make an excellent guide if he could understand some English.

They both were available all the way to help us with anything we needed, and both were thoughtful about anything we might require, water, food showers, medicine, accommodation. They took really good care to visit places which were comfortable and had homestay feel.

The hotel and food exceeded my expectation, every thing was more than we expected. We can say that we had great experience with CHINA GROUP TOURS. I will definitely recompensed you to other people coming to Tibet.

Asked by Jean Alois Duffeu - Luxemburg -

I am thinking about the mount everest base camp trekking tour and would like to have some advice from you as pros for this region.

Which kind of fitness level is required for this trekking tour? I am 42, totaly healthy, no sickness, but I have never done any trekking for a long distance and duration before.

I hope to get some answers, I want to start the trip in the coming summer.

And one more question: Do I need to take my sleeping bag with me?

Thank you very much for your answer in advance!

Jean Alois Duffeu

Answered by CHINA GROUP TOURS Team:

Hi Mr Duffeu,

Thank you for your questions!

It is a combination of sightseeing and trekking tour. You do not have to walk all the way from Lhasa to the Mount Everest Base Camp. The distance and duration you may trek depends on your health situation and your wish. Our vehicle and Guide are always with you and you can keep trekking if you feel good, otherwise you can stop trekking and have a rest in the vehicle.

We book good hotels for you, so you don't need to take your sleeping bag with you. It will be relativly cold in the mountain region and we suggest you to take warm cloth! If you have more questions, please let us know!

Best regards!

Asked by Anne Schütze - Germany -

Me and my husband are 45 and 51. We think about a trip of 8 days to the mount Everest base camp in this winter, and we are at the planning stage. My husband is a little overweight and is not that good at walking. Is it safe for us to take the trip? Or maybe we should just spend our entire vacation around Lhasa, with the Yamdrok lake and so on? Can we visit EBC and is it worth it?

Answered by CHINA GROUP TOURS Team:

Hi Anne,

you and your husband do not have to walk or trek that much during this trip. We have very good vehicles and drivers who will take you all the way to mount Everest. If you want, you can get out of the vehicles to have some trekking but you don't have to.
We have oxygeon bag in each vehicle, so you don't have to worry about being sick due to the height of Tibet.
Of course it depends on you which tour you will take. If you want to have your vacation more leisurely, i recommend you our 6 days trip to Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse

If you have any question, pleas don't hesitate to contact your . We have german speaking colleagues in our team who can talk to you in german language.
I wish you a nice day and will be happy to hear from you soon!
