A great and convenient way to see the country.

By Tobias Hasser - Germany

A great and convenient way to see the country. Plenty of interaction with locals to get a real feel of Tibet.

Best holiday experience ever!!!

By Daniel Lemden - Switzerland

Our Tibet tour was one of the best holiday experience ever. We had a fantastic, flexible time. All our entries were ready by the time we arrived to Lhasa, Tibet permit sent to our Hotel in Chengdu. Our tour guide Lobsang was very accommodating and helped us a lot. He has ample local knowledge, took us to local businesses, restaurants. One of the restaurants (Tibetan Family Kitchen) was unbelievably tasty.
We totally enjoyed our trip to Tibet!

Unique experience in Tibet !!!

By Olivia Munz - Austria

We returned from our trip to Tibet a few days ago, and I would like to say that we very much enjoyed our time in this wonderful land. We have enjoyed a lot during our train travel from Xining to Lhasa, and we really love the unique Tibet Travel Experiences by train, the landscape en route was unforgettable!
The 8 days trip is ideal for first timer to Tibet because you can take a overview of this region and get chance to visit lots of very famous acctractions like Potala, Jokhang temple and the Barkhor street which was my favorite simply because we purchase a lot of souvenirs.
Shigatse was not really interesting for me, but the view on the way to Shigatse was unforgettable and I can imagine to stay near the Yamdrok lake for few more hours if it could be possible!

8 days Tibet Highlights tour

By Thomas Moziano - Italy

There were 2 months since we came back from our travel in Tibet. When I look back, I feel so lucky that we didn't choose to book our Tibet holiday with anyone else.
From beginning to the end, the CHINA GROUP TOURS team did excellent job. After comparison with other Tibet travel agencies, we decided to take the 8 days TIBET Highlights tour with CGT. We were so glad to take their advice to travel in November, what a great time to travel Tibet - almost no tourists and many Pilgrims in Lhasa from the countryside, which was fascinating.
Traveling to the different villages was awe inspiring. Our guide and our driver are absolutely the best! They did everything humanly possible to make us comfortable and informed at all times. These guys are the real deal, to the core. Other travellers in the group were real fun people too and we had real great time there!
I already started to plan my next trip to Tibet, of course with CHINA GROUP TOURS again!

Asked by Edie Taylor - America -

Hello, I would like to asak that can I fly direct from New York to Lhasa?

Answered by CHINA GROUP TOURS Team:

Dear Edie,

Sorry, there is no direct flights from New York to Lhasa. And if you want to enter Tibet, you must first fly to other city in China, and then enter Lhasa from that city. You can choose Shanghai or Beijing, also you travel a few days in Beijing or Shanghai, then enter lhasa. I hope my answer can hope you.

Thank you.  By Gloria.
