This tour takes you to many of China’s major cities and their most famous sites, including Beijing’s Great Wall and Xi’an’s Terracotta Army.

In between you will travel down the scenic waterways of the Yangtze river, which is the longest river in Asia. It is home to some of China’s endangered species and a cruise along it provides varied and fascinating scenes.

A look at some of the most stunning manmade monuments, as well as natural scenery.

Day 1: Beijing

Welcome to China! Your local guide will meet you in Beijing Airport arrivals hall, and will be very easy to spot as they will be holding up your name. After the guide has accompanied you to your hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure to rest after your long flight or to explore on your own.

Day 2: Beijing          B,L

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City,Temple of Heaven

Our first stop today is the famous Tiananmen Square, which counts as one of the planet’s biggest squares. From here, we enter the Forbidden City through Tiananmen Gate. 600 years of history has endowed this imperial palace with scores of buildings, including pavilions and elegantly-decorated halls. If walls could talk, these ones would have some lively tales to tell.

In the afternoon, we head for the Temple of Heaven, where emperors of ancient dynasties went to pray for a good harvest.

Day 3: Beijing          B,L

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall

No visit to Beijing would be complete without visiting the nearby Great Wall, China’s most famous monument. After breakfast, you will visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, travelling up by cable car (this is included in our trip price). Once up there, we can visit a Ming dynasty tomb and the Jade Factory.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian          B,L

Attractions: Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Mosque and Muslim street

Today you have some free time before your local guide accompanies you to the airport, where you will board your flight to Xian. When you arrive, your local guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Then you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, where you will also have the opportunity to learn the beautiful art of Calligraphy. Afterwards, you will visit the Great Mosque and Muslim quarter.

Day 5: Xian          B,L
Attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Art Ceramics Factory, Ancient City Walls, Bell Tower

This morning, take a trip to see the world-famous Terracotta Army, along with the Xian Ceramics Factory. After lunch, we continue our tour of Xian’s famous landmarks, today viewing the city’s walls and the Bell Tower.

Day 6: Xian - Guilin          B,L

Attractions: Reed Flute Cave

Today is at your leisure until your guide picks you up to take you to board your flight for Guilin until being escorted to the airport for your flight to Guilin, one of China’s most popular tourist destinations.

Once you have rested in your hotel, we head for the Reed Flute Cave, a stunning natural limestone cave. We will also pay a short visit to a pearl museum.

Day 7: Guilin - Yangshuo          B,L

Attractions: Li River, West Street

After breakfast, you board a boat at Zhujiang Pier (40-minute drive from Guilin) to for a cruise down the scenic Li River, one of Guilin’s most famous sights. Almost like a Chinese painting, it features surrounding sheer mountains, rice paddies and local wildlife such as water buffalo. Our cruise’s destination is Yangshuo County, where you will be staying overnight. Meanwhile, you have free time to explore the town; we recommend particularly West Street, the oldest street in Yangshuo.

Day 8: Yangshuo - Chongqing          B,L

Attractions: Erling Park, Hongya Cave Folklore Street, Ciqikou Old Town

The morning is at your leisure until it is time to fly to Chongqing. Once you have arrived in Chongqing, a major city in Southwest China, you will enjoy your guide’s tour of the city’s essential sites. These include Erling Park, the traditional streets around Hongya Cave and Ciqikou, a small 1000-year old town. After the tour, you will board the cruise ship ready to sail down the Yangtze River.

Day 9: Yangtze River          B,L,D

Attractions: Shibaozhai

As you set off on our memorable Yangtze Cruise, you may attend various activities onboard, which will help you to prepare to explore the Yangtze.

Our first stop is the famous Shibaozhai, the building structure is very rare, and also known as one of "the world's eight singular architecture".

Afterwards, we continue the cruise, and in the evening there will typically be a welcome party with the captain as host. You can dress up, meet new friends and feel truly welcomed onboard.

Day 10: Yangtze River          B,L,D

Attractions: Shennv River

Today’s sightseeing highlight will undoubtedly be your excursion to the Shennv River. Board a local type of boat, a sampan, to enter the magnificent scenery of the gorges, savagely cut into verdant mountains. At the foot of sheer cliffs, we may crystal-clear waters, forests and perhaps native wildlife. Once back on the ship, there will be a party in the ballroom to fill your evening.

Day 11: Yangtze River          B,L

Attractions: Three Gorges Dam

Today the last expedition onto land is a trip to the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric dam. In the midst of natural scenery, this feat of engineering is a sight to be beheld.

After the Yangtze Cruise has ended, your local guide will meet you when disembarking at the pier and accompany you to the airport for the 1.5-hour flight to Shanghai, China's financial center. Once you arrive, your local guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is your own free time.

Day 12: Shanghai          B,L

Attractions: Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Old Street, French Section, Yu Garden

After breakfast, visit the Shanghai Museum, which houses a collection of ancient Chinese art. For a peek into Shanghai’s past, you will then go to Shanghai’s Old Street and the French Concession, followed by a visit to a silk workshop. Afterwards, step into the elegantly traditional Chinese garden, the Yuyuan Gardens, and experience the surrounding bustling Yuyuan Market.

Day 13: Shanghai          B,L

Attractions: Bund,  Jinmao Tower

No trip to Shanghai is complete without taking a stroll down The Bund, located on one bank of the river Huangpu. Afterwards, you will go to the summit of the landmark building, Jinmao Tower, which provides an outlook upon the city nicknamed the “Paris of the East”.

Finally, we will take you to the airport for you to travel on to your next destination.

The Service was so good and efficient.

We did an excellent tour on the Yangtze. The suggestion made by the river guide to get a room upgrade was excellent, so we could enjoy the cruise more comfortably. The Service was good and efficient. The visits organized by the ship were interesting too. Entertainments during the evening was friendly and well done. I did really enjoy my trip with my my family.
